About

Taught by a classroom teacher, not a gig tutor.

Jenn

Hi — I'm Jenn. I teach high school math full-time and tutor because I love the moment a student finally says 'oh — that's what it's doing.'

Massachusetts state-certified high school math teacher with a Master's Degree in Mathematics Education, plus extensive graduate-level coursework in advanced mathematics instruction and pedagogical development. 15+ years of classroom experience, plus coaching and student leadership roles.

I know the curriculum your student is working through, I know where the sticky spots are, and I know how to explain a concept three different ways when the first one doesn't land. Every session is planned around your student's actual needs — their current class, their upcoming test, the one topic that's making everything else feel confusing.

Meet Jennifer

Jennifer Stevens is an experienced mathematics educator with more than 15 years of teaching high school mathematics. She currently resides on Cape Cod with her family. She holds a master’s degree along with an additional 45 graduate credits, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional growth and excellence in education.

Jennifer specializes in AP Calculus and AP Precalculus, helping students develop a deep understanding of advanced mathematical concepts while building the confidence needed to succeed in rigorous coursework and exams. She also provides personalized instruction in SAT Mathematics, Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II, meeting students where they are and guiding them toward their academic goals.

Known for her patient, encouraging teaching style, Jennifer believes that learning mathematics is about more than finding the correct answer. She emphasizes problem-solving, critical thinking, and perseverance, encouraging students to embrace the learning process. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that the journey of discovery is often more valuable than the destination itself.

Outside the classroom, Jennifer is the proud mother of five children, who are her greatest joy and inspiration. She enjoys swimming, biking, and spending time outdoors, and she has a lifelong passion for solving puzzles and learning new things. Whether she’s exploring nature, tackling a challenging brain teaser, or helping a student master a difficult concept, Jennifer brings enthusiasm, curiosity, and a love of learning to everything she does.
